Brunei–UK Sign Amendment to DTA
Apr. 7 – An agreement amending the double taxation agreement (DTA) between the United Kingdom and Brunei Darussalam has been signed in London by the British Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury David Gauke, and His Excellency Mohd Aziyan Abdullah, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom.
The Agreement amends the existing DTA which dates from 1950. In particular, it updates the exchange of information provisions to the current OECD standard. The text of the Agreement will made available on the Brunei section of this website as soon as it is approved by the British Parliament later this year.
